Remote Café is live on the web
Today I launched Remote Café for the web, a browser-based focus space built around a simple ritual: choose a café, start a timer, and get to work.
Remote Café began as an iOS app. I wanted to bring the same calm experience to the screen where many of us actually work, without asking anyone to download or install another app. Now a focus session is only a browser tab away.
A café for focused work
The web app combines an online Pomodoro timer with white noise, café ambience, rain sounds, and focus music. You can explore scenes inspired by cities including Tokyo, Beijing, Paris, Seoul, San Francisco, Shanghai, and Vancouver, then choose the setting that matches your mood.
If you do not want to choose, “Surprise me” can pick the next stop. Some scenes are free to use, while Remote Café Pro opens up more locations, sounds, and immersive layered scenes.
Why the web version matters
Focus tools work best when they stay out of the way. The web version removes the App Store step: open the site on a laptop or desktop, choose a scene, and begin.
It also makes Remote Café much easier to share. A link can take someone directly into the experience, whether they are studying, working from home, or trying to find a little calm in a busy office.
